National Small Business Week 2019

May 07, 2019

Celebrate Small Businesses May 5th – 11th, 2019

Every year, National Small Business Week recognizes entrepreneurs and small business owners across the United States. The initiative celebrates the contributions and accomplishments of these businesspersons and honors their impact in society. From mom-and-pop restaurants to smaller corporations, small businesses continue to cultivate and drive innovation and facilitate America’s global economic competitiveness.

Here are some reasons why it is important to support small businesses:

1. Contribution to the job market

Small businesses create about two out of every three new jobs in the United States each year.

2. Commitment to social responsibility

Locally owned businesses are more accountable to their communities and tend to care more about the neighborhood they operate in. They are also more likely to provide charitable donations and support to other community businesses and organizations.

3. Investing in the local community

Supporting local businesses also supports your local economy. Local business’ success means more local tax money which can benefit schools and public projects.

4. We all know and love them

Everyone knows someone who is an entrepreneur, owner, or an employee of a small business or has a favorite local business they visit often. They are our family, friends, or neighbors. Let’s show our support by promoting and endorsing each other.

As a family-owned insurance agency going on 40 years of operation, we understand how much hard work and perseverance it takes to start and maintain your own business. We celebrate other small businesses and entrepreneurs and are honored that many trust us to handle their insurance needs.
