Halloween had become more than just a day where people dress up for annual costume parties. The holiday has turned into a month of popular tourist attractions transforming into thrilling experiences for people to experience together.
If you’re having trouble deciding how to fill your month with Halloween excitement, here are some of the most popular in SoCal:
This Halloween take on the popular theme park is one of the most popular in Southern California. Opening after regular hours, Knott’s Scary Farm is full of haunted mazes with monsters of all sorts around every corner. If you ever need a break from the chills, most rides are still open for business. Overall, it is a very fun environment and really displays the spirit of Halloween.
Digging into its own haunted history, the Queen Mary celebrates this haunted season with its own mazes and attractions. With its own assortment of creepy characters, the Queen Mary Dark Harbor also offers food and live entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
This event has one of the largest varieties of scares for everyone over the age of 10. Not only is it full of haunted mazes and hayrides, it also gives thrill seekers a chance to go zombie hunting with paintball guns!
Being one of California’s most paranormally active locations, this 25-minute terrifying tour has become a Halloween favorite in SoCal. With a devilish theme, this attraction draws on some of the Bible’s most terrifying depictions of evil. Its maze “In-Between” was called the 2012 and 2013 scariest maze.
As my personal favorite, this revamped theme park offers some of the scariest mazes from iconic pop culture film and TV. Fans of The Walking Dead will love the Terror Tram that take you to a land of the undead. With terrible creatures and monsters constantly roaming the park, thrill seekers won’t have a moment to catch their breath.
