As the month of October comes to an end, we say farewell and thank you to one of our long-time employees. Eiko Wakai has been working at The J. Morey Company for nearly 22 years; however, her last day of work before enjoying retired life will be this coming Wednesday, October 31st. Eiko is a Senior Account Representative and has played a vital role in helping to service our commercial clients, especially those who speak Japanese. She is extremely hard-working and has contributed so much during her time as a member of The J. Morey Company family. We are all going to miss her, but we could not let her leave without asking her to share a few final thoughts in this month’s J. Morey Journal.
Q: What will you miss the most about working at The J. Morey Company?
E.W.: I will miss servicing clients’ business insurance needs and will especially miss helping Japanese-speaking clients. Also, I will miss working with my friendly colleagues.
Q: What is one piece of advice you would like to leave for your co-workers?
E.W.: Don’t be a robot. Provide more personal services. Think as if you are a customer in need instead of just as an insurance processor. Share your insurance knowledge and expertise, and provide more advice and service than what the client has asked for.
Q: What is the most important thing you have learned while working here?
E.W.: To not ignore the little things or doubts and to work diligently. If you let something go without taking care of it, it will come back to haunt you later.
Q: What are you looking forward to the most in this next chapter of your life?
E.W.: I am looking forward to having more time to do all the things that I love.
Q: Is there anything else you would like to say or want people to know?
E.W.: I would like to express my deep appreciation to all of my clients and colleagues. It was a rewarding experience working for you and with you.
Congratulations, Eiko! We wish you the very best in this next chapter and thank you for everything you have done for the company over the years. Your hard work and dedication to this team will not be forgotten. We will miss you!
